Richard Brautigan

Growing up, my dad always read to me. One of my favorite poems, that will soon hopefully be forever on my ribcage along with my Joan of Arc quote.

When I was little, everyone was reading the Berenstain Bears. No doubt I knew them inside out as well. But my dad always read my favorite, "Trout Fishing in America". I was that girl. My beatnik parents read me Brautigan, I dreamed of being a kool aid wino....wished I lived in Watermelon sugar....and god forbid have wild animals go over my homework while gnawing on my parents appendages. I was lucky, my dad was commissioned by Wharhol and playing football against Akroyd and the Belushi Brothers. When I said Dada, I wasn't refering to him.

avant garde.
