New start for the weekend

This is the new start, a brand new life. I am so grateful for the things that I have now, more than I ever have. I was working at the farmers market this weekend when I realized it. This is what I have always wanted. These are the people that are like me. We love the ground, the earth, the beauty put inside each and every piece of produce and how it is all derived from nature. They are the ones from Austin I never thought existed. I thought they were all the whole foods shopping, $2oo a month yoga membership owning, luxury car driving, hypocritical people.

The best eggs you will ever eat are from the people who treat their chickens like pets.

And every single carrot you eat will be as delicious as it is beautiful.

It's been so long since I had livejournal. I think I stopped in 06 or 07.  Oddly enough I made some really great friends that I still keep in touch with and actually get to see. I never would have looked forward to my future and actually seen me here, sitting on this couch. For the things that shape you in just those few years, you change, morph into someone you never thought possible.

My karma is catching up and my legs cannot run much faster, but you can't sit around and wonder....what if. Things happen for a reason and absolutely nothing happens for more than one. Sometimes you just have to move on.

Sometimes I catch myself sitting and thinking something that I could be doing, a project, an idea, something tangible. I need to get up and just do it. Stop thinking, think strategic and get it done. No more ' I'd be cool ifs'. To take a wild hair and make it reality is such a good feeling. I want that feeling everyday.

on a side note, people seem to be slightly askewed by my current lack of platinum hair. It was retired only weeks ago, but there has been quite the uproar to have it revived....zombie like.
